Philip and Maria are a husband and wife team who work together to create beautiful wedding photos that capture the beauty, love, fun, details and special moments of your day. We are passionate about weddings and consider it a privilege to be involved with your day. We will help you plan your day so that you enjoy both the photography and time with your family and friends. On the day, we will help to create and capture moments of fun along with capturing all the key people most important to you.

Philip and Maria both photograph your day, providing you with beautiful photos in an album of your preference. At our studio, we create an album design that captures the special moments, with you and your family and friends. You may have as much or as little involvement in the design process as you like. Our photos and albums capture the emotion and fun to create treasured memories.

We provide a fun and relaxed service so that you enjoy your day. We maintain a balance between managing those key moments most important to you and photographing sensitively in the background as appropriate. Our photographic style includes capturing both spontaneous images that capture the atmosphere on the day as well as specialising in capturing beautiful portraiture and moments that shows you at your best making the most of light, location and atmosphere. Back at our studio, we can add artistic effects and design as required to present you with beautiful contemporary images.

Our options can also include DVD slideshows, thank you cards, parent albums, keepsake booklets and a variety of styles of art frames from canvas, metallic or Perspex designs.

Our Wedding Service:

You remain completely in control of the amount of time we spend on photography during the day. We offer a free consultation with you beforehand to find out exactly how you would like the photography to be planned around your day. We then provide you with a written itinerary of the times we have planned so that you know what to expect and can feed back any changes you would like.

We have many flexible options to suit your requirements, including getting ready before the wedding, the wedding ceremony, after the ceremony, wedding speeches and evening receptions. Our starting package includes from just before the ceremony, capturing all the key moments - through to just before you sit down for your meal.

We take an almost unlimited amount of photographs, these are then edited to select the best. A typical wedding may have about 200 photos for you to choose from.

For most of our album packages, we do not limit the amount of photos you can choose. The final quantity of images will depend on either your choice of package or your choice of album design. A typical 28 page designer or art style album may contain about 80 photos, depending on the layout of each page that you choose.

Great – we don’t want this either! You are completely in control of the kind of photography you would like for your day, some couples like a selection of group photos, other like us to capture just informal gatherings of guests enjoying the reception, and of course we can do a mixture of both. We can help you plan and guide you on how to avoid a long list of group photos.

We often find that the couples who tell us, when we first meet, that they do not generally like their photos being taken, actually enjoy the wedding photography on the day. We have a fun and relaxed approach and are confident of capturing you at your best which helps to put you at ease and enjoy the photography. There is a big difference between having your photo taken by us as professionals as opposed to what you might have experienced with photos taken by friends or family. We also provide you with a range of photos so that there will be plenty of styles and expressions to choose from.

Philip is the principle photographer who will be at your wedding. At most weddings, we photograph as a husband and wife team, so that Maria is also present to take your photographs at no extra charge. Our only exception to this is if we agree a different arrangement with you beforehand. This gives you the assurance that you will have the photographers you have met and the style that you have seen represented in our albums and website. We do not sub contract wedding bookings to other photographers.

Digital cameras allow us to take almost an unlimited amount of photographs, enabling an even better selection for you to choose from. Digital images also give us more control over quality and allow us to offer you both colour or black and white along with other creative effects for every photo that we take. Having originally photographed weddings on conventional film for years, we switched to digital when we considered that the quality of the final prints from professional digital cameras and printing superseded that of conventional professional film. Digital printing brings every aspect of quality under our control, so we can get consistently great results.

In the wrong hands digital images can suffer from poor colour or density, undue digital noise, unnatural sharpening, over or under exposure and loss of detail in the highlights or shadows. By hiring a professional you can have peace of mind that all of these issues will be avoided with the correct exposure, lighting, colour and density calibration and technical experience to achieve stunning results.

I control the quality of all the digital files for best colour and tone, with regularly colour calibrated technology. I work closely with a professional photography lab for consistently high quality photographic printing results. The time, care and attention to detail ensure you get great photos. By using a professional lab we ensure that the printed photos have the best chance of long term life without undue fading.

We aim to offer you authentic images that are true to the original moment captured. The beauty and flair of our images are achieved in the way we take the original photo - by using the light, location, pose and composition rather than digital tricks.

We ensure that the digital quality controls of colour balance and tonal range are checked and adjusted to get the most pleasing result. Images may sometimes be ‘tidied’ if necessary - which may mean a slight softening of lines or skin blemishes where desirable.

As an additional option, to the original image, we may also present digitally enhanced photographs with artistic effects. At your request, we may also modify images to create a new photo, for example combining people from different photos.

After the wedding:

We aim to post your wedding photos on our website 1 - 2 weeks after the wedding. You can use the online ordering to create and edit your initial selection of chosen photos. Family and friends may also create their own independent reprint or album orders on our website. If you do not have web access, I can send you a booklet of thumbnail images which you can use to choose photos and pass around family and friends.

Once I have received your final approval of proposed layout and which photos you would like, the album typically takes 4-6 weeks to be ready. In the case of special albums custom designed this may take longer and you will be advised accordingly.

We archive all the images and keep backup copies for security. We intend to keep these images indefinitely so that you can come back for reprints many years after your wedding.

We can produce a DVD slideshow that contains both a DVD based slideshow that plays on your TV. The DVD also comes with a computer file allowing you to play the slideshow on you computer.

Because we are using professional labs to do the final printing, we are using some of the best papers commercially available that are fade resistant and long lasting. We also archive your wedding images so if you ever loose or have an accident with your photos we can normally reproduce your images.

We can offer various options for reprints, enlargements and framing. A popular request is for a multi frame where we can arrange several photos in one frame to create a great art piece for you home. We can also arrange thank you cards for your guests along with parent albums and a digital CD slide show.
